The Gap Hypothesis

Disciples of this harmonization with geologic evolution focus on four main passages: Genesis 1:28, Isaiah 45:18, Jeremiah 4: 23-24 and 2 Peter 3: 5-7.

We will break these 4 - passages down with precision, after a few words from our sponsor...

Most people use the term 'Gap Theory', but for an idea to become a theory, it must have at least a few facts to back it up.  This is why the term 'theory' was added into the 'Gap idea’, it was a misleading ploy to give the idea some precedence and/or respect.  But since this idea lacks any facts or basis from Scripture, it must remain a hypothesis.

Other terms used for this 'Gap Hypothesis' are: 'Ruin and Restoration Theory', 'Ruin and Re-Creation Theory' and 'Gap Creationism' etc.  Again, this is taught as a tenable theory by some, but as an established fact by most of its adherents.  We will get into where the original ‘idea’ actually came from, later. It will be an eye-opener that most have no knowledge of.

At any rate, there are a few variations on this hypothesis.  But to state it simply, some 'theologians' bought the Evolutionists geological lie that the Earth is millions or billions of years old; depending what era they were in.  Then, lacking faith in God's Word that the Earth is approximately 6,000 years old, and not being in tune with the Holy Spirit, they became embarrassed of the Bible.

So in their desire to gain respectability with the men of science (in contempt of the Holy Spirit), they decided upon a wresting of the interpretations of Scripture, to make Scripture fit the evolutionary "facts".

They hypothesized that a long period of time (the Evolutionists millions or billions of years) existed between God's initial creation in Genesis 1:1 when, "God created the heaven and the earth" -and- Genesis 1:2 when the earth was, "without form, and void".

But the undeniable truth is, that the Earth was “without form” because God had not yet begun to configure this spheroid until verse 6.  And, the Earth was “void” because God had not created anything yet, to put on it.  This is axiomatic, and also, plain and simple.

Most but not all Gappers maintain that prior to Genesis 1:2 the ‘1st Earth’ was inhabited by a pre-Adamic race of men, angelic creatures and mysterious dinosaurs, with Lucifer as its king.

The Gapists teach that the world existed in this manner for "millions and millions" (think of Carl Sagan here) or perhaps billions of years.  Its end occurred when God, finding iniquity in Lucifer’s heart, was compelled to judge and destroy that Earth and World.  This happened by what they term as "Lucifer's Flood" (2 Peter 3: 5 - 7) to make the Earth "without form, and void" - Genesis 1:2.

The Gapists then claim that God began to re-create that 1st Earth, to make a ‘2nd Earth’ Genesis 1: 3-31. Again, this is also known as 'ruin-restoration', etc.

They believe that Lucifer in his fall became Satan (this is the only part that they have correct).  Later we will let you in on where Gapists got their fill-in material.

The Bible states in the Book of Psalms...

"The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple"
  -- Psalm 119:130

So therefore, to compromise the simplicity and authority of Scripture, is to undermine God to accommodate the worldly view and secular philosophies.

In other words, if any Christian young or old were to read the first chapter of Genesis, without being instructed in anything ‘gap’, they wound never see a 'gap' anywhere in there; no matter how many times or years they read it.

If, the 'Gap Hypothesis' were in fact true, the average person must not be able nor capable of reading the Bible and understanding it, without some priest, guru, or theological “scholar” explaining the esoteric meaning of it all.  This is an earmark of all cults.

"Let my cry come near before thee, O LORD: give me understanding according to thy word".
  --  Psalm 119: 169

When there is an important, need to know 'gap' in scripture - God plainly declares it. The very 1st 'gap' in the Bible is announced at Genesis 4: 3...

"And in process of time it came to pass, that Cain brought of the fruit of the ground an offering unto the LORD"

Then God announces 4 more 'gaps' that you wouldn't know were there by the simple reading of scripture, except for Him telling you.  They are found at: Genesis 38:12, Exodus 2:23, Judges 11:4, and 2 Chronicles 21:19.

Therefore, since God plainly declares important 'gaps' in scripture, and it is enlightening to this subject that God did not declare a 'gap' in the 1st chapter of Genesis -- so then obviously there isn’t one!

For the last hundred years or so, virtually all theologians interpret the Scriptures with a mind devoid of, nor even concerned with, the Holy Spirit (this mind-set mired us in the current, Age of Apostasy).  Instead, the typical theologian has stuffed their mind with man's opinions, so as to conform to the Theological Doctors whom they really worship.  They have not any fear of God, but live in total fear of falling afoul of their peers.

If we are to choose between interpretations of scripture based upon the problems of biological and/or geological so-called science -or- an interpretation based upon the evident meaning of Scripture: we must choose the evident meaning, every time.  Then wait for ‘scientific knowledge’ to catch up.  The evidence of and for the Gap Hypothesis, only takes place in the mind of its beholders.  There are even those who do not believe it, but teach it out of peer pressure.

We are not commissioned to harmonize nor re-interpret the Bible in line with contemporary thought, in order to make Christianity more palatable to those who fancy themselves as intellectuals.

Let it never be forgotten: secular science changes, God's Word never has, nor ever will!

"O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so called: Which some professing have erred concerning the faith"
  -- I Timothy 6: 20-21

And with that, let us break-down their 4 main passages.

First up is - Genesis 1:28...

"And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth"

Gapists in this passage focus on the phrase - "and replenish the earth".  Their reasoning here is that God is commanding Adam and Eve to re-populate the earth with people.  The Gapists basis for this re-population assumption is that the previous ‘pre-Adamic’ inhabitants were destroyed.  These are people which the Gapists claim were here on the earth before the Bible states that God created Adam.

I have even heard some Gapists claim that they do not believe in pre-Adamic men, and yet they still use this verse for their theory.  How does that make any sense?

What are the very next words God states immediately after "replenish the earth"?  God very plainly states, "and subdue it" - subdue what?  Obviously, God is directly referring to the Earth that Adam is to replenish.  God is commanding Adam to subdue, or in other words - take control of and conquer the Earth!  God is not ordering Adam to subdue and conquer his future sons, daughters and grandchildren!

The King James Bible is very reasonably consistent in its word usage: Earth generally describes the globe or a physical place on the globe, and World generally describes people or mankind.  So then if, God were talking about people and population, He would have stated: "replenish the world".

More about this, when we get to their 4th passage, as found in 2nd Peter.

When you look at the situation God is presenting to Adam as He speaks this, God has just finished His filling of the Earth (not World) and is commanding Adam to carry on from here and to keep it going.  The word “replenish” means: to fill and fill again.  But to re-state it, this verse means to replenish the grasses, herbs and trees. Do the words: horticulture, husbandry or management of resources come to mind?

The 'command' to populate, came in the 2-commands prior to "and replenish the earth".  The commands being: "Be fruitful, and multiply".

Nothing Theosophical nor Talmudic about it.

     Second is - Isaiah 45:18...

"For thus saith the LORD that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it; he hath established it, he created it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited: I am the LORD; and there is none else"

The concern of the Gapists in this verse is the phrase - "he created it not in vain".  If you are not a Hebrew scholar the argument makes no sense to you.  And if you are, in reality the Gapist's argument, makes even less sense.

It is just a matter of individuals attempting to flout their degree to prove they can defy the Holy Spirit and contort Scripture to prove their point.

But that aside, the Hebrew word ‘tohu’ is translated here as "in vain".  Then back in Genesis 1:2, this same Hebrew word ‘tohu’ is translated "without form".

So the Gapists claim this means Genesis 1:2 was incorrectly translated and should have been translated - "And the earth became without form, and void".

See what I mean by flouting their degree and thinking that they are smarter than God, who promised to preserve His Word?  To God, theological degrees are just "wood, hay and stubble"! All that a theological degree certifies is that the recipient can adequately parrot what they were taught, not that they understand or know any of it; nor does it determine whether they can think or research on their own. But it does mean that they coughed up tens of thousands of dollars, which is something that Paul never did to Timothy!

Side note: The Hebrew language has very few words, and therefore to understand a sentence of words, each word is dependent on the other words around it, to define the meaning of that word or phrase.  In other words, context can change the meaning of a word or phrase. A quickly understandable example might be the word - can - such as: 'I can do that tomorrow', or 'please give me that can of wax', or 'let us go pick some beans and can them', or 'don't just sit there on your can, get up and do something'.

       Thirdly is - Jeremiah 4: 23-24...

"(23) I beheld the earth, and, lo, it was without form, and void; and the heavens, and they had no light. (24) I beheld the mountains, and, lo, they trembled, and all the hills moved lightly".

If you just look at the words that I underlined in verse 23, it seems to appear that the Gapists have struck solid gold.  This is exactly what they want you to see, and they have got their fingers crossed that you do not read the chapter to search out the context.  They also know that very few Christians have ever studied the Book of Jeremiah on their own.

To seek out the meaning of a scripture, you must first research the context.  These charlatans, who are aspiring to con you into ‘buying’ this heresy, are desperate for you to believe in their scholarship and have faith in their Doctors of Theology.

So here, the Gapists claim that the phrase "it was without form, and void" implies association with Genesis 1:2.  The Gapists claim that Jeremiah is re-describing God's act of judgement on the ‘1st Earth’.

But, if you understand that the Book of Jeremiah began to be written before the Babylonian invasion, you comprehend that God is explaining why He was sending Judah into captivity.  Then when you read the whole 4th chapter to gain the context, you see that these 2-verses reveal the prophet Jeremiah's insight into the coming destruction of Judah, by King Nebuchadnezzar.

The word "earth" in verse 23 refers specifically to the land of Judah, not the whole planet Earth.  Also, this chapter is not a reference to the past, but it is a reference to the coming future in the days of Jeremiah!

Check out these 2 other verses.

Prior to our featured verses, it says in verse 7...

"The lion is come up from his thicket, and the destroyer of the Gentiles is on his way; he is gone forth from his place to make thy land desolate; and thy cities shall be laid waste, without an inhabitant".

Then right on the heels of our featured verses, at verse 27...

"For thus hath the LORD said, The whole land shall be desolate; yet will I not make a full end".

Another spin the Gapists attempt to do with verse 23, is with the word "was" which is directly at the front of the phrase "it was without form, and void".  The Gapists claim that if you take the Hebrew verb that is translated "was" here in Jeremiah, then run back to Genesis 19:26, where this same verb is translated "became" -- as in "she became a pillar of salt" -- then you walk that on back to Genesis 1:2.  Right there, the Gapists stake the claim: you can make Genesis 1:2 to say, ‘And the earth became without form and void’.

Does the phrase, "Figures don’t lie, but liars can figure" come to mind here?!  If not, how about just plain old deceit or deception?  Many a religious scholar will work overtime at undermining the authority of the Word of God.

This now brings us to the crown jewel of the Gapists… their fabled "Lucifer's flood".  This is the apex of their arguments(!).

      Lastly we have - 2 Peter 3: 5-7...

"For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water: (6) Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished: (7) But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men".

First, before we even breakdown these verses, phrase by phrase and several words, we must state... Not one Scripture exists to support the idea (hypothesis) of any "Lucifer's Flood" that Peter could be referring to; from the Bible.

This is a totally false construct, especially when verse 5 begins with the provocative statement - "For this they willingly are ignorant of ". How can a person be "willingly ignorant" of a flood that God had never revealed to anyone, anywhere in the Bible?  Therefore it must be a flood that is obvious and known.  It could only be 'Noah's Flood' that Peter is referring to here.

Next, "by the word of God the heavens" notice that Peter writes "heavens" plural, not heaven, singular.  Genesis 1:1 (KJV) states - "God created the heaven (singular) and the earth".  Not until verse 8 of Genesis chapter 1, do you have another heaven being created, making it "heavens" plural.

“And God called the firmament Heaven.  And the evening and the morning were the second day”
  -- Genesis 1:8

So since 2 Peter 3:5 states "heavens" plural, therefore Peter has to be referring to a flood after Genesis 1:8, and not before.  Only 'Noah's Flood' could be referred to here.

Next phrase, "the heavens were of old".  To what is Peter referring to here, "of old"? Well, if you go back just one chapter to chapter 2 and verse 5, Peter states...

"And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly".
  -- 2 Peter 2:5

This makes very plain what Peter's point of reference is, when he speaks, "of old". Obviously Peter is again referring to 'Noah's Flood'.  Again, it is context, context, and context.

Then the next phrase,"and the earth standing out of the water and in the water".  Peter is making certain that we know that he is referring to the whole Earth (globe), and that is after the third day of Genesis chapter 1.

Genesis 1: 9-10, on the third day it says...

"And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so".
  -- Genesis 1:9

So then at Genesis 1:10, we can see, "the earth (globe) standing out of the water and in the water"…

"And God called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together of the waters called he Seas: and God saw that it was good"
  -- Genesis 1:10

Next -- and this is always important -- notice at the end of verse 5 that it does not end with a period, but with a colon.  This means that this sentence is not finished, but continues on into verse 6.

So we continue on from verse 5 into verse 6 with the phrase, "Whereby the world that then was".  This refers to the Earth we just alluded to in Genesis 1: 9-10, being populated with a society of people (World).  In fact, the whole of verse 5 is a reference to the previous chapter, 2 Peter 2:5 as we demonstrated previously.

Now let's pull over and put it in Park for a minute.  Notice that Peter is alternately using the words earth and world.

Therefore he must be trying to be specific and referring to 2 separate meanings for the words.  In other words, he cannot be using 2 different words and meaning the exact same thing.  So let us define these terms...

Earth - generally describes the globe (planet) or a physical place (land) on the globe.  Sometimes it can mean things on the globe, etc., but not people.
World - is not the earth (globe), but generally describes people, society or all mankind as a whole (Galatians 4:3) that dwell on or in the earth.

"All ye inhabitants of the world, and dwellers on the earth..."
  -- Isaiah 18:3

"...And shall commit fornication with all the kingdoms of the world upon the face of the earth".
  -- Isaiah 23:17

So, let us clarify the beginning phrase of verse 6 - "Whereby the world (mankind) that then was".

This brings us to the next phrase, “being overflowed with water”.  Therefore, since this sentence began in verse 5, the Holy Spirit through Peter is making very plain and clear that this was a flood that encompassed the whole world (all mankind), and not a localized flood.

This brings us to the last word of verse 6, which is "perished".

The Gapists attempt to interpret this word "perished" to mean something different, that it can not be a reference to 'Noah's Flood'.  Why?  The Gapists claim that at the time of 'Noah's Flood' the world did not perish, because Noah and his family and all those animals in the ark remained alive, and did not "perish".

But since our Final Authority should be the Bible, we need to look to God and give Him the last word.

God states in Genesis 7: 23...

"And every living substance was destroyed which was upon the face of the ground, both man, and cattle, and the creeping things, and the fowl of the heaven; and they were destroyed from the earth: and Noah only remained alive, and they that were with him in the ark".

Therefore, according to God "the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished" during 'Noah's Flood'.

Notice again, that at the end of verse 6 that there is not a period, but a colon.  This means that the same thought and sentence continues on into verse 7, because the thought that began at verse 5, is not complete.

Now this brings us to the close of this 3 - verse segment of Peter's Letter (which is also one whole sentence).  Verse 7 - "But the heavens and the earth which are now".  Again, this may be the beginning of a new verse, but it is a continuance of verses 5 and 6, because of the colons.

So, "the heavens and the earth, which are now" means: but the heaven and earth which you see before you now, because it was not destroyed in the flood, has been “kept in store” (retained/spared) - "reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men".

Let me re-phrase verses 6 and 7 by plugging some description into the verses: (6) Whereby the world [all mankind] that then was, being overflowed with water, perished: (7) But the heavens and the earth, which are now [because they were not destroyed in the flood] are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment”.

Therefore the sequence of events goes: "In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth", then there is a flood (Noah), and then fire to come in the future (2 Peter).  It is not: creation (Genesis 1:1), flood (Lucifer's), re-creation (Genesis 1:2), flood (Noah), fire (2 Peter).

But according to the Gapists, you have the 1st Earth being created (Genesis 1:1) then the "Judgement of Lucifer's Flood" (Genesis 1:2 and 2 Peter 3: 5-6) then the re-creation and 2nd Earth (Genesis 1: 2-31) then a judgment of fire on this 2nd Earth (2 Peter 3:7) then a 3rd Earth created - (2 Peter 3: 13).

"Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness"
  -- 2 Peter 3:13

This is known as the "3 - earth theory", this hypothesis is also taught by Gapists.

But the Bible teaches only a 2-Earth concept:

The 1st earth being created (Genesis 1:1) then 'Noah's Flood' (Genesis chapters 6-9 and 2 Peter 3:5-6) then a judgement of fire on this 1st earth (2 Peter 3: 7-12) then a 2nd earth created (2 Peter 3:13).

Further proof of the 2-Earth concept, is found in the Book of Revelation...

"And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away"
  -- Revelation 21:1

So... since facts are facts and Scripture is Scripture and God has never said, “Please excuse me, I forgot something!” and revised the Word of God: therefore there is not a Gap.

Also, there is much science to establish the truth of the Creation, in six consecutive revolutions of the Earth, beginning with the very first rotation.  And also, that the Earth is less than 10,000 years old.

Now, are there any teachings in the occult that run parallel to the Gap hypothesis?  Yes, there are.

Helena 'Madame' Blavatsky (1831-1891) was one of the founders of the Theosophical Society in 1875.  In fact she was the 1st president of the England branch.  The 2nd president was Annie Besant - whose most famous work was the book: 'Esoteric Christianity'.  Then the 3rd president of the England branch was Alice Bailey - who wrote several works, and the Theosophical Society continues on into the 21st century.

In 1887, Blavatsky also founded a periodical that was entitled: 'Lucifer'.  Blavatsky was also very connected to Guiseppe Mazzini and Albert Pike, who were ‘leaders’ in the Bavarian Illuminati.

The Theosophical Society has strong Occult and Masonic ties. So then, having lined up these connections, let us get back to our point

Helena Blavatsky authored a book entitled: 'The Secret Doctrine'.  According to this work -- all of recorded history, beginning with Genesis 1:1 -- is the 5th incarnation of man to occupy this Earth.  Also, that prior to this current 5th incarnation of mankind, there was Atlantis which was the 4th embodiment.  Then prior to that was the 3rd incarnation which Tolkien used as a foundation for his ‘Hobbit’ and ‘Lord of the Rings’ books, where there were dinosaur type creatures, etc.  Most all occult denominations believe Tolkien’s writings to be a true and accurate history of that time-period, because he wrote it from the information he got from his ‘avatars’, shall we say. The first 2 incarnations or ages are layed out in JRR Tolkien's book, 'Silmarillion'.

Several years after Blavatsky's passing, a man named Adolph Hitler became so inspired with Blavatsky's book, 'The Secret Doctrine' that he made it's teachings a part of the ‘spiritual’ foundation of the Nazi machine; and kept a copy on his night stand.

In the year, 1876, a writer named George Pember -- whose day job was masquerading as a Christian Minister and scholar -- published a book entitled, 'Earth's Earliest Ages'.  Then in 1911 it was republished with additions by G.H. Lang; who was another Christian masquerader.  It is currently published by Kregel Publications and its content is taught in many Bible colleges and institutes.

This book's full title, as found on its inside title page is: 'Earth's Earliest Ages and their Connection with Modern Spiritualism, Theosophy, and Buddhism'.

Under "Author's Preface to First Edition" in Pember and Lang's book it states:

"That, to those who really believe in a Supreme Being, the occurrence of supernatural interference, causing physical convulsions and changes, presents no difficulty, especially in connection with a world the moral condition of which was evidently out of course ages before the creation of our race".  -page 25. (1975 Kregel edition)

Notice the universal Occultic term "Supreme Being" and also, "ages before the creation of our race."?! Pember and Lang attempt to prove that since the occult philosophies are obviously factual in truth, then there must have been a "Gap" and pre-Adamic men with pre-Adamic dinosaurs.  So therefore they must be included in the Creation account in the Book of Genesis [by hook or crook].

Pember and Lang in their 1st chapter, take hacks against Bible Creationists who believe that from Genesis 1:1 to the present day, encompasses approximately 6,000 years.

Pember and Lang state that with Creationists:

"We have to encounter a deeply-rooted popular fallacy in regard to the creation of the world... which seems originally to have sprung from a sort of compromise between revelation and the legends of Pagan cosmogony".  -page 27 (1975 Kregel edition)

"And their opinion has descended to our days.  But it does not appear to be substantiated by Scripture, as we shall presently see, and the guile of the serpent may be detected in its results".  -page 28 (1975 Kregel edition)

"For we are told that in the beginning God created the heaven and the earth; but the Scriptures never affirm that He did this in the six days."  -Page 29 (1975 Kregel edition)

Obviously neither of them had read the Book of Exodus -or- they hope you haven't.

“For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it”
  -- Exodus 20:11

“It is a sign between me and the children of Israel for ever: for in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested, and was refreshed”
  -- Exodus 31:17

In Pember and Lang's book, they write a similar but shall we say, watered down version of 'The Secret Doctrine' which was published 12 years later.  That is, both books syncretize and synchronize the Bible and pagan lore into a very detailed account of the Gap Hypothesis.  But then Pember and Lang, also add some chapters to their book with solid Bible teaching, so as to create the illusion that they are solid Bible-believers.  This complex ruse has worked so well for Lucifer/Satan over the centuries.

It seems obvious to those of us who understand the occult, that Pember and Lang channelled much of their book through their familiar spirits and also used occult lore, which they obviously believed and where familiar with.  Blavatsky does admit that she channelled hers through spirits.

So why do so many Theological Doctors and Bible colleges, promote this obvious pagan-heresy of a Gap between Genesis 1:1 and 1:2?

For a few it is a childish pride thing.  They want to know something that others didn't know, and to be able to see something that others cannot, or do not see.  But to the majority, they want to separate those who are going to blindly believe whatsoever they tell them, from the ones who think, study and research.  Then, their strong determination is to suppress and marginalize those who do not blindly follow along with them.

But as I stated previously, theological degrees to God are just fire starter, they are simply wood, hay, and stubble - to be burned at the Judgement Seat of Christ.

The secular system which man devised, with its awarding degrees when man is pleased, cannot be found as any kind of positive in the Bible.

“For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ
  -- Galatians 1:10

“For our exhortation was not of deceit, nor of uncleanness, nor in guile: (4) But as we were allowed of God to be put in trust with the gospel, even so we speak; not as pleasing men, but God, which trieth our hearts
  -- 1 Thessalonians 2:3-4

"For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ"
  -- Jude 4

The major reason Theological Doctors promote pagan and other heresies, such as the 'Gap Hypothesis' and others which we have written articles about, is because many pagan wolves who hate the True God, endeavour to work their whole lives to establish themselves as a Christian to the theological world.  They hammer out doctrinal work after doctrinal works, which are Biblically accurate -- not because they believe any of it -- but to establish themself as a Biblically sound scholar.  Some accumulate several degrees, so as to give credence and credibility to two or more heresies which they want to promote.

The intention is to erode the true doctrines of the Bible and create confusion; gradually, over a period of time.  What is so important to Satan about confusion?  It is because confusion creates doubt about the Word of God.  Doubt creates a loss of confidence in the Bible.  Loss of confidence then creates loss of interest!

Ever notice that people when they are Born-Again, how they are so on fire for God.  Then they become confused by the discrepancy between what they read in the Bible and what they see and hear in their church and other churches.  Finally they give in, and sit sedated in a pew, just like all the examples around them.

So then, this pagan wolf in a finely tailored sheep suit, destroys a little bit here, while another pagan wolf does the same - or - destroys a little bit over there.  Then, those false teachings get taught in several Bible colleges as fact - then their students parrot them as truth!  But those who trust the Holy Spirit for truth instead of scholarship, get shut out in the cold by them.

Over a period of decades, this will have (and has had) a profound effect upon Christianity as a whole.  Eroding "the faith which was once delivered unto the saints" - Jude 3.  Their aim is to bring down that faith and completely destroy it!  Why?  Because their ultimate goal is to open that Dimensional Door to allow Antichrist to enter...

"Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;"
  -- 2 Thessalonians 2:3

Just as this verse from the Bible, emphatically states, Jesus Christ's Church has to become extremely weak first (!) before the Antichrist can take control of the World.

And remember, Antichrist literally means, "opposing Christ in the guise of Christ".

Satan and his influential ministers are very deliberate, persistent, deceitful and patient destroyers.  Please think about it, we did not just happen upon this era of Apostasy and confusion by accident!

"(13)For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. (14) And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. (15) Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works
  -- 2 Corinthians 11:13-15

Satan has been promoting his agenda through a multitude of masquerading Christian ministers and scholars.  Most do it knowingly, others get so caught up in gaining degrees and pleasing the men they reverence, so as to get personal gain, that they are oblivious to the fact that Satan is actually working through them.

The personal solution for Christians is to read and study your King James Bible, with the heart intention of pleasing God, and get tuned into the Holy Spirit.

Put into practice Acts 17: 10-11...

"(10) And the brethren immediately sent away Paul and Silas by night unto Berea: who coming thither went into the synagogue of the Jews. (11) These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so"

Search things out for yourself, with the Holy Spirit on the throne of your heart.  Do not be bullied by men promoting their scholarship and "having men’s persons in admiration because of advantage" - Jude 16.  Here's a hint: most of these proud chaps can fake humble really well!  And there are many closet Masons, closet Jesuits, closet Ruckmanites and closet witches in Christianity.  Then they have a lot of followers, who do not want to know any different!

"The rich man is wise in his own conceit; but the poor that hath understanding searcheth him out"
  -- Proverbs 28:11

"The simple believeth every word: but the prudent man looketh well to his going."
  -- Proverbs 14:15

Like I said before, most of these guys "practice" humility and are extremely conscious of putting on their front.

Be prudent and seek wisdom (only true wisdom comes from God).

"That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive
  -- Ephesians 4:14
